Company visits We made interesting visits during the semester with the school. We had
the opportunity of visiting important manufactures in Mazatlan like the
Bimbo factory, one which is one the most important baking companies
around the world.
We also discovered the cerveceria Pacifico and visit one of the best
hotels of the city, the Royal Villas.
All these visits were really instructive; they permit us learning more
about the business in Mexico in a different and entertaining way.

Throughout the semester, Tec de Monterrey offers several fieldtrips for
the students. These fieldtrips range from a visit to the port, a trip to
the machado to learn about the old architecture, a tour of Bimbo, the
local bread factory and a visit to the Pacifico Cerveceria, the local
beer brewery.
-
The visit to the port is very informative and interesting. You get
to learn about the cruise ships that come into Mazatlan, as well as
the imports and exports. A tour around the grounds gives you a
better idea of the mass of products and the amount of money that the
port brings in.
-
The visit to the Machado gives the students an insight to how
Mazatlan was built and the construction of the surrounding
neighborhoods.
-
The Bimbo tour is a fieldtrip that takes you into the factory and
shows how the majority of Mexico’s bread and bread products are made
on a mass scale, while giving statistics and other facts to
demonstrate just how important the company is in the Mexican
economy.
-
The Pacifico tour is equally as informative, and gives the visitors
a look into how the local beer is made, as well as about 12 other
beers. A guided tour through the plant allows the students to see up
close the brewing process and how the beer is tested and bottled.
